How do I setup a formula in Excel that has both multiplication and division?

Answer

The first thing you want to do after typing = into a cell is to setup parentheses ( ) for what you want to multiply. Numbers within the parentheses will be calculated first.  A slash is used to indicate division.

Ex: =(6*3)/6 will be: 6 multiplied by 3 and then divided by 6 (which would equal 3).
