How do I set page numbering so that page "1" starts on the second page and continues from there?

Step 1. Go into the Header area by either double clicking on the top part of the page or by going into the Insert tab and clicking Header and then Edit Header. If you look at the top of your window, you will see that you are now under the Design tab.
Step 2. Check the box for "Different First Page"
Step 3. Look to the upper left portion of the screen for the Page Number button and then click Format Page Numbers.
Step 4. Under Page Numbering, look for "Start At" and begin with the number 0.
Step 5. Go to the header on page 2, click on "Page Number," and select the placement for page numbers that you prefer. You should now see that the second page of your document will start with page number 1.
