How many books or DVDs can I borrow? And for how long can I keep them?

Answer

Students, faculty, and staff may borrow up to 50 books at one time from our regular circulating collection. Undergraduate students and staff may check out a book for 30 days and renew the item once for an additional 30 days. Graduate students may check out a book for 60 days and renew the item once for an additional 60 days. Faculty may check out a book for 180 days and renew the item once for an additional 180 days.

Three movies may be borrowed at one time. They are checked out for 7 days to all members of the Manhattanville community and may be renewed once for an additional 7 days.

Accommodations can often be made for faculty members who wish to retain the material for a longer period of time.

Reserve materials (both books and DVDs) have shorter loan periods and some may only be used in the library. Please ask at the Service Desk for more information.
