How might I browse a journal or magazine online?

Great question! Sometimes it's not all about searching a database for a subject -- sometimes you just want to page through the New Yorker online.

 

First, you'd have to know if the library subscribes to a database that carries the New Yorker by searching Journals A-Z as shown below:

 

Fortunately, we subscribe to a few databases that have wide coverage of the New Yorker in full text:

 

 

ProQuest Central's holdings appear on a page with this header:

 

 

From there, you can pick out any issue from it's years of coverage an get a list of ever article that appeared in that issue -- just like the magazine is right in front of you:
